Meet the Red legged Seriema, Cariama cristata (Bonito Brazil). This gangly three-foot tall bird lives in family groups in the cerrados of central South America. Associate Curator of Birds Shannon Hackett's Avian Tree of Life project found that its closest relatives are parrots, falcons and perching birds!
