Most Chicago-area (and Bird Division) birders will tell you that May is their favorite time of year, when warbler migration is at its peak. There's an incredible diversity of these colorful little songsters that pass through in May on their way to their more northerly breeding grounds, including this female Magnolia Warbler (Dendroica magnolia).
