Description:
The Iiwi’s long curved beak allows it to get nectar from curved flowers. Iiwis used to eat nectar from Hawaiian Iobelioids flowers. When these plants dramatically decreased after 1902, Iiwis started to eat nectar from the blossoms of the ‘?hi’a lehua(in the photo).
